If my motorcycle fails the inspection, will I be imposed a fine?
According to Air Pollution Control Act, Article 40, in-service vehicles shall be inspected periodically for their air pollutant exhaust. For vehicles not periodically inspected per regulations, their owners would be imposed a NTD 2,000 fine in accordance with Article 2 of Punishment Guidelines for vehicles violating Air Pollution Control Act. For those vehicles not conforming to air pollutant emissions standards in the periodical inspection, they shall be repaired and re-inspected within one month. For those not repaired and re-inspected within one month, their owners would be imposed a NTD 2,000 fine. If the vehicle also fails the re-inspection by the deadline, their owners would be imposed a NTD 1,500 fine.
