How much is the penalty for discarding cigarette butts?
In accordance to Article 27, Waste Disposal Act, the following acts are strictly prohibited within designated clearance areas: the spitting of phlegm or betel nut juice or fiber, discarding of waste paper, cigarette butts, chewing gum, fruit or the skin, pit or juice , or other general waste. In any of the above-mentioned circumstances, a fine between twelve hundred to six thousand New Taiwan Dollars shall be imposed.
