How do you monitor the emission of waste gas and wastewater of Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant?

1. For waste gas emission: Since June, 1999, we commission a laboratory to test pollutant emission for stationary pollution source every three months. We also installed 4 units/8 devices of continuous monitoring instruments, to 24-hour monitor the 4 incinerators. The 9 monitoring items are hydrogen chloride (HCl), nitrogen oxides (NOx), oxysulfides (SOx), carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), amonia (NH3), water (H2O), opacity and particle pollutants. The monitoring values are connected to the billboards in our scale exit, administrative building and the intersection of Chongde Rd and No. 13 Road. Therefore, citizens and our management staffs can know the waste gas emission condition in our incinerator.
2. For wastewater emission: We have obtained “Wastewater Treatment and Discharge Permit” on Oct. 21, 1998. Our wastewater discharge is controlled and periodically followed. However, our plant is designed as zero-wastewater-emission; the wastewater would be recycled after treatment.
