Clean Air Action Plan 2.0

Taipei city government has been promoting the “Clean Air Action Plan” with the aim of reducing fine particulate matters (PM2.5) since 2016. Major efforts have been made and focused on regulating the most polluting vehicles in the “Low Emission Zone” by enforcing a stricter sulfur oxide emission standards for boilers, reducing the aviation fuel sulfur content, etc. With all these efforts, the annual mean concentration of PM2.5 has been improved from 19.6μg/m3 in 2014 to 14.6μg/m3 in 2018. We have made continuous progress toward realizing “Clean Air Action Plan 2.0”.
